Facing onto this wine village’s pretty, fountain-centred square, L’Ouillette is run by a charming young couple. Simon (in the kitchen) and Maude (front of house) serve seasonal dishes of skill and imagination in the pale oak-beamed dining room or on the sunny terrace. Quail Royale with confit sloes and crab raviolo in a lobster emulsion are among the dishes that receives high praise from diners. Four cozy bedrooms are available.
