In keeping with its name, the walls of the ‘Roe Deer’ are mounted with trophies –not real ones, however, but quirky recreations in papier maché, crochet, plaster of Paris … Chef Tiago Araujo’s dishes have a similarly original, modern twist but, for a taste of tradition, try the warm terrine, featured on the menu for over 100 years. Tiago’s wife Eléonore, daughter of a vigneron, will guide you expertly through the wine list.
